Information we may collect

This may include names and contact details, correspondence, parish and sacramental records, donation or Gift Aid information, event or form responses, and communication preferences.

Why we use it

  • to provide pastoral care and administer parish life;
  • to respond to enquiries and requests;
  • to meet legal, safeguarding, financial and record-keeping duties;
  • to send parish news where the recipient has asked for it or another lawful basis applies;
  • to keep parish systems secure and effective.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Where necessary, information may be shared with authorised parish workers, the diocese, HMRC, professional advisers or service providers, subject to appropriate safeguards. Records are kept only as long as their purpose, church requirements or law requires.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction; object to certain processing; or withdraw consent. Contact office@smam.org.uk . You may also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office .

Browser settings can restrict or delete cookies, though parts of the website may then work less effectively. Embedded services and external websites have their own privacy and cookie arrangements.

Accessibility statement

We aim to make the website perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for as many people as possible. Current improvements include descriptive image text, clear headings, keyboard-friendly controls, readable contrast and responsive layouts.

If content is inaccessible, tell us what page or document you need and the format that would help. Email office@smam.org.uk .
